
NNPCL is boosting Nigeria’s energy mix with a significant investment in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).The company has purchased 500 CNG-powered trucks and commissioned six CNG stations in Lagos and Abuja to promote clean fuel use in transportation.
NNPC Retail officer Henrietta Ogun shared these details during an NNPC/Engagement session with Kannywood artists in Abuja.NNPCL has purchased 500 CNG-powered trucks, set to start use this year, with most already in the country.
The company, which operates 950 retail outlets, has established eight electric vehicle charging points for bikes and plans to expand to car charging in the future.NNPCL also has jetty and terminals with a 40,000 MT capacity and is set to unveil gas cylinders next week.NNPCL is launching its new gas cylinders this week, available in its plants and skids.The company operates floating mega stations in Bayelsa, Rivers, and Ondo, the only ones of their kind in the country.
NNPCL also offers real-time truck tracking and will soon launch a retail app to help customers monitor fuel availability at stations.The app will allow you to check your fuel level, find nearby NNPC stations, and buy fuel from anywhere.
