Fuel Prices Fall to N875 per Litre at Dangote Outlets

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced petrol prices nationwide, with Lagos now paying N875 per litre and other regions, including the North East and South-South, paying N905. This represents a N15 cut in Lagos from the previous N890 rate. The new prices, announced on Dangote Group’s official X handle, apply to major fuel marketers partnering with the refinery, such as MRS, Ardova, and Techno Oil.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has further reduced petrol pump prices nationwide, now ranging from N875 in Lagos to N905 in regions like the South-South and North-East. The regional breakdown includes: Lagos – N875, South-West – N885, North-West & Central – N895, and South-East/South-South/North-East – N905. The company urged consumers to buy only from partner outlets and report non-compliance via a hotline.

This latest reduction follows earlier cuts in April, when the ex-depot price dropped from N880 to N835 per litre—marking a N45 total decrease. Despite these reductions, many retail stations have yet to adjust prices. Dangote Refinery reiterated its commitment to affordable, high-quality fuel and noted multiple price cuts in recent months, including two in February totaling N125.The 650,000 bpd Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest, can cut fuel imports, ease forex pressure, and lower costs for Nigerians. Its local refining and pricing decisions could shield consumers from global oil shocks—if savings reach the pump.
