Dangote Petroleum Refinery will begin nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel on August 15, 2025. To support this initiative, the company has deployed 4,000 CNG-powered tankers and will offer free logistics to registered dealers, marketers, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation operators, and other major consumers. This marks a key effort to transform Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.
Dangote Refinery is enhancing nationwide fuel delivery by establishing CNG booster stations and mini distribution hubs supported by over 100 CNG-powered tankers. This initiative aims to reduce logistics costs, promote cleaner energy, and improve fuel accessibility.Economically, it is expected to revive inactive petrol stations, lower production and distribution costs, create jobs, and support SMEs by easing energy burdens. It will also improve fuel access in rural areas, boost investor confidence, and contribute to economic recovery and stability, particularly in underserved regions.
Under its new distribution programme, Dangote Refinery will offer direct fuel sales and free delivery to marketers, manufacturers, telecom firms, and other major users. A credit facility is available for bulk buyers: those purchasing 500,000 litres can access an additional 500,000 litres on credit, repayable in two weeks with a valid bank guarantee.The company credited the Federal Government’s Naira-for-Crude exchange scheme for stabilising fuel supply and reaffirmed its commitment to affordable, accessible, and sustainable energy for all Nigerians.
