EnerMech Gets Five-Year Al Shaheen Contract Extension

EnerMech secured a five-year extension with NOC for Al Shaheen Field in Qatar, covering bolt tensioning, torquing, pipe freezing, and training. The company sees Qatar and the Middle East as key growth areas.

EnerMech CEO Charles Davison Jr. praised Qatar Country Manager Sean Lawless for positioning the company as a leader in leak testing and flange management in the Gulf.Regional Director Dan Collins emphasized the contract’s significance, highlighting EnerMech’s expertise.

He added that in 2025, the company aims to strengthen its presence in Qatar and continue delivering top-tier services.Located 80 km (50 miles) north of Doha in the Arabian Gulf, Al Shaheen is a key offshore oil field.

Production began in 1994 at 100,000 bpd, doubling to 200,000 bpd by 2004. By 2010, output hit 1 billion barrels with two double-hulled FSO vessels. By 2013, the field had 220 wells and 24 facilities, according to NOC. Expansion continues with the Ruya project launched in 2023 and more planned.
