NCDMB Supports Heritage Energy’s Goal of 100,000 BPD Production

The NCDMB has pledged support for Heritage Energy’s plan to boost oil production from 45,000 to 100,000 bpd by 2030. In partnership with Shoreline Natural Resources and NEPL, Heritage operates OML 30 and is focusing on short to long-term growth strategies.

Achieving this target will require significant investment and new drilling operations.Heritage Energy & JV partners presented their strategic plans to NCDMB, securing support for OML 30 operations. They launched a four-rig campaign to boost production, develop gas resources, and support Nigeria’s gas master plan.

Over five years, they anticipate significant output growth, focusing on local economic benefits, job creation, and sustainability. Investments include produced water disposal, flare gas monetization, and upgrading the Trans Forcados Pipeline to handle increased production.The NCDMB praised Heritage Energy’s progress and pledged support for its investment plans, aligning with President Tinubu’s agenda. Heritage thanked NCDMB and requested faster approvals for key documents needed for drilling and compliance with the NOGICD Act.

Senior NCDMB officials attended the meeting, including directors and general managers. OML 30, located in the Niger Delta, spans 1,097 km² and contains eight producing fields, with significant oil and gas reserves in multiple stacked reservoirs.
